Piccy uses cookies and similar technologies (including local storage) to run the service, understand how it's used, and measure our advertising.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use your browser's local storage for some of the same purposes — it behaves similarly to a cookie but is stored differently.

2. What We Use, Specifically

• Necessary cookies: Login/session cookies that keep you signed in. These can't be switched off, as the service doesn't work without them.
• Referral cookie: If you arrive via a referral or affiliate link, we set a short-lived cookie (piccy_ref, or a local storage equivalent) for up to 30 days so the referral is correctly credited when you sign up. This is functional, not advertising.
• Analytics (Umami): We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand overall site usage. It's cookieless by design and doesn't collect personal data, so it runs regardless of your cookie choice below.
• Advertising (Google Ads): We use Google's advertising tag to measure how our ads perform and to build remarketing audiences. This sets cookies and only runs with your consent — see below.

3. Your Choices

When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Reject non-essential cookies. Rejecting disables the Google Ads cookies described above — Piccy works exactly the same either way. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and clear your choice by clearing your browser's local storage for piccy.app.

4. Consent

We don't set advertising cookies until you accept them via the banner. If you don't make a choice, or if you reject, only necessary cookies and cookieless analytics run. This applies to all visitors, not only those in the UK or EEA.
